Early and Absentee Voting (Will County Residents)

Early Voting:

Early voting is available to any registerd voter within Will County. By law, a registered voter must present a valid photo ID before voting early (current driver's license, state-issued ID, etc.).

Early voting begins 22 to 5 days prior to a specified election. Click on the link below to find out where you can go to early vote:

Absentee Voting:

Absentee voting is available to any registered voter in Will County who is expecting to be absent from the county or precinct of residence on election day.

Because of the passage of SB 2022, all people who are registered voters in Will County are eligible to cast an absentee ballot without specifying a reason as to why they will be absent from the polling place on election day.
In addition, the following unregistered voters are eligible to vote by absentee ballot:
  • Members of the United States Armed Forces while on active duty, and members of the Merchant Marines, as well as their spouses and any dependents.
  • U.S. citizens temporarily residing outside the U.S.
  • U.S. citizens that are overseas by virtue of employment or accompanying their spouses or any dependents.
  • Other U.S. citizens residing outside the U.S. for any specified reason.
